Another 'beatles' song:
The Girl from the Mountain
She arrives with the Spring
when the flowers have thawed
the girl from the mountain
brings her sun to your door
This town has been sleeping
through dark lonely days
but the girl from the mountain
brings colour your way
and her kiss melts the ice on your lips
how long you've been waiting for this
the streams, like your veins, run again
for the girl from the mountain
the girl from the mountain
the sky is as wide as her smile
and she wears the green meadows with style
flowing around her knees
they're flowing around her knees
the girl from the mountain
the girl from the mountain
the winter has gone
just a dead maiden's kiss
as the girl from the mountain
emerges from mist
the long hibernation
dragged us all down
but the girl from the mountain
awakens this town
and her kiss melts the ice on your lips
how long you've been waiting for this
the streams, like your veins, run again
for the girl from the mountain
the girl from the mountain
I bet I have listened to songs like this 10 times in my life, and generally I click next..
but I am compelled to Tim's vocals like a moth to light on a dark night.
the music is great, don't get me wrong... but this is so calming I tend to run to stuff more driven...
this is a really good musical pairing... very nice work men... thanks!
What a cool song! Great folky vibe and lovely uke(?) seasoned with a smattering of recorder. I'm getting a bit of clipping at about 1.40 but that might be this end.
Really enjoyed this.
A minimalist masterpiece comes to mind. Outstanding vocals!
Tim, you've put some cool words and a great melody to Maxit's good Ukulele playing!
Great song, really good lyrics and vocals ..and Ukulele playing
Excellent.
wonderful picking on this to back the fantastic vocals
Different and refreshing. Nice job on collab.

Loved it, from the exquisite imagery in the lyrics and vocals to the ukulele and recorder backing.
Beautifully done, gentlemen.
Speaking of Beatles, George loved the ukulele for both its portability and pure fun, writing "Everyone I know who is into the ukulele is 'crackers'. So get yourself a few and enjoy yourselves!"
What I like about these songs is that you don't seem to be attempting to make the toy instruments too precious. And aren't attempting to make them sound like something other than what they are. Instead you are making songs with these particular tools, and you use them to serve the song. And the results are great.

ted, I now realize it s just that way. Thanks for saying it out!!
Love it. Cool song and I liked the stripped back to the ukelele performance with addition of the Beatles-like recorder (I presume it's a recorder)
Nearly missed this one. Beautiful song and nicely performed.
