Quickie for St Patricks Fest. Just a bit of fun
Just realised, this might be the fastest I have ever written and recorded a song. Don't think it's much more than an hour for the idea, the lyrics and recording
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlw5_jnzZ84Well here we are,
once again
The years they seem to roll on by
Well they sure ain't no friend
It's St Patricks Day again
And I don't need
No one else
I been on my own too long
And I'm happy by myself
It's St Patricks Day again
Well they're out
there on the streets
There all dressed in green
Sometimes I ask myself
What does it all mean
It's St Patricks Day again
St Patricks Day again
Well I don't want,
to cause a scene
But I don't feel like joining in
Or dressing up in green
It's St Patricks Day again
Mike,
me either... I love this..."I don't wanna cause a scene, but i don't feel like joinin in"...
this is fabulous... love it and love you!
A great song for at Patrick's day Mike. Impressive you wrote it and recorded it that quick. It's good when an idea just comes to you like that.
Always cool to see one of us singing/playing live. You a left-handed guitarist, Mike? Nice song BTW and as Darren says - impressive that you wrote/recorded this in an hour. Usually takes me an hour to get in the mood, get set up then have a drop of whisky before I start.
Cool stuff Mike, just say and acoustic a great listen.
Then the player took me straight to Groundy,s rendition of Grace.
Happy Paddy's day to one and all!
Nice one. Would work as a Christmas song (in fact I was getting a bit of Greg Lake).
I share the sentiment, although our saints day (St David, 1st March) passes without any great celebration, at best a few will wear a Welsh rugby jersey.

I like these videos of just you and your acoustic Mike! Well done on the live take of your St. Patrick's Day Song!
