Title: Don't give me no trouble (short test of new 12 string electric!)
Post by: des0free on March 01, 2024, 11:27:59 PM
Another short song fragment that, if played in a loop, could be used to torture prisoners ;D

Here I was also testing my new Squier Jazzmaster 12 String electric!
(perhaps not the best song style to illustrate the guitar sound, but I like it so far)

Chords: G#m D#m A#m G#m

Lyrics:
Don't give me no trouble
Don't go bursting my bubble
I want to hold you tight tonight
But somethin' just ain't right

3 guitars (all the 12 string), Garage Band vox-ish amp
1 bass (Ibanez MiKro, palm muted), Garage Band bass amp
1 drums ("Nikki" from Garage Band iphone app)
2 vocals (I'm sick, so scratchy voice...), AT2010 mic
Recorded with TC GO SOLO interface into Iphone with Garage Band

Ideas to extend are welcome...

I got a six wheel drive
I ain't ready to die
Just one more gig and we're done
Acapulco gold and the sun
...

Clearly your song is about bank robbers. :)

Don't give us GAS Des...!

The strummed Squire Jazzmaster 12 string sounds so full. This is a great start Doug! To continue with yours and Zoltan's lyric flow, here's my addition:

Don't give me no trouble
Don't go bursting my bubble
I want to hold you tight tonight
But somethin' just ain't right

I got a six wheel drive
I ain't ready to die
Just one more gig and we're done
Acapulco gold and the sun

Once we cross the border
Avoiding law and order
We can plunge our hands
Into the purple sands

Next...anymore takers?
