Title: In The Heat Of The Moment by Oldrottenhead
Post by: Oldrottenhead on February 24, 2024, 11:20:42 AM
More aimless noodling.

It is what it is.
When the red mist falls
And you're ready to blow
You should just walk away
In the heat of the moment
In the midst of a storm
All the walls come tumbling down
Are you going to stay strong
In the heat of the moment

In the heat of the moment
You can lose control
In the heat of the moment
There's no knowing what you'll do
If you'll stay or if you'll go
If you'll do what you've gotta do
In the heat of the moment

When a new day dawns
Will you still be there
Or will you turn and run
In the heat of the moment
When the time comes
Will you know what to to
What to do
In the heat of the moment

In the heat of the moment
You can lose control
In the heat of the moment
There's no knowing what you'll do
If you'll stay or if you'll go
If you'll do what you've gotta do
In the heat of the moment
In the heat of the moment

So calm and restrained for a song about hazards of losing control.

It reminds me of this quote:

Quote from: Patrick RothfussThere are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man.

The song is full of a restrained tension that sounds like it could explode, but never does.
