You're painting a vivid picture with the lyrics and performances. Some of the piano playing is a bit meandering in a positive way. It kinda adds to the "lonesome, feeling lost" -type of vibe. The vocal deliver is pure Reg (=awesome and moody).
Walking into a back street bar in the french quarter in New Orleans this would be right at home I am digging this ballad nice
