Just in time for Halloween, another acoustic guitar song from max & greeny
October
Summer buried under leaves
The sky a looking glass of trees
Hibernating from the sun
Halloween for everyone
Pour myself another wine
The blood of saints and so divine
Getting dark so early now
Swallowing this tinsel town
October – you know her
She's always changing
And rearranging
Her skies and eyes
Elusive as mist
Her light... her rainy kiss
Remember when we used to smoke
On the fire escape and share a joke
But now the nights are closing in
And the geese are flying south again
So I'll pour myself another wine
The blood of saints and so divine
Another chapter after all
Closes in this urban sprawl
October – you know her
She's always changing
And rearranging
Her skies and eyes
Elusive as mist
Her light... her rainy kiss
And who broke your light?
Who brought the night?
The thief of your smile
Has nowhere to hide
Now Winter takes us
She makes us bow down to the queen
So icy and mean
With her skeletal trees
Now Winter takes us
She makes us bow down to the queen
So icy and mean
With her skeletal trees
And a crown so white and frozen
Pour myself another wine
The blood of saints and so divine
Getting dark so early now
Swallowing this tinsel town
Wow. This is fabulous!
Love the sound of the guitars and the wonderful vocals.
Beautiful imagery in the lyrics
Well done
I am with Geir, this is fabulous!
those guitars are so wonderful... I love that strumming style... it is really grand! The guitar work alone on this is worth the listen... then the vocals over the top are so good. super work Tim...
this is a wonderful listen... very hi level stuff. also lovely keyboard to go with it
This is so creative Maxit and Tim! The strumming, the chords, the changes, the muted guitar picking in the background, and the vocals/lyric all make this a top shelf listen...nicely done guys!
Pro work all around. Great song and performance. Dig the progression. Very enjoyable listen! :)
The choppy acoustic guitar playing, that famous Greeny voice. Yes, this is sublime.
Could this be perhaps the prettiest song written about October?
Class, so creative. Excellent stuff guys. Some amazing ideas in there and they all hang together so beautifully. I really enjoyed this. You work together so well.
Mike
Yes, great collab, love the way it bulids up so great cool arrangement, great stuff!!
"the blood of the saints and so divine" is worth coming back to hear all alone...
Beautiful autumn song - such variety in the guitar dynamics and the lyrics remind me why October is at least a close runner-up for the cruelest month. But now I'm missing October already...
Well done, gentlemen!
Beautiful and descriptive of one of my favorite months. The song itself sounds October.
