Title: Buskers paradise! Cool busking setup for cheap!)
Post by: Zoltan on July 27, 2023, 02:28:18 AM
With this attention grabbing topic i'm hoping all the right eyes will see this. Perhaps this will lead someone on the road of endless searching... Or something like that :)

I found this great busker named Markus K from Youtube. I got curious about the setup he was using as it looked like it was quite flexible, portable and suprisingly cheap. And it was. There are several videos of his setup and this is the latest (i think):

Here's an clip of him in action:

If that doesn't get your blood pumping your family might have a chance. For a one hot minute i was thinking of leaving the fam and hitting the road. To search something. To play for a dollar. To get busted by the cops. To be harassed by the h... (in reference to Burt Reynolds movie White Lightnin').

Then it dawned on me that they would probably keep me in Siberia forever so i thought it's better to stay at home.

Getting back on topic. He's using a lot of Harley Benton / Behringer gear. The Ipad he's using is old which means cheap. The setup makes it possible for him to do proper impromptu jams and record them. Then continue tweaking them at home. So there's lot to like.

Of course he's got talent too.

Thanks for the links, I enjoy reading about these kind of set ups.  I had posted earlier about an ultra compact, fully battery powered, ultra cheap (if you already have an iPhone, or perhaps could buy a used one) rig I set up, also using a battery powered Behringer speaker. It would allow you to play backing tracks on your iPhone, while mixing in guitar and vocals, with effects supplied by the free garage band app on the iPhone.

So now I've got this rig but lack the talent to perform live  ;D  I should box it up and send it to Stephen M
