Astrud Gilberto passed away yesterday at the age of 83. Most famous for singing 'The Girl From Ipanema', which is alleged to be the second-most recorded song in the world (behind 'Yesterday', by the Beatles) and practically served as an introduction to Bossa Nova for the rest of the world.
