Title: Sexy Suzie (Sober mix)
Post by: thetworegs on October 27, 2022, 02:44:37 PM
How was Reg to know she was plant ...... Thanks for listening
Its told sexy Suzie knows the story way to well
She looks you in the eye and your under that spell
The mystery of the meeting disappears from your mind
How could such a beauty ever be unkind
Black and white the headlines scream out your name
That all you've ever worked for is up in flames
There's nothing left but ashes to the world you knew
And where is sext Suzie, she flew
where is sext Suzie, she flew

Now how were you to know you were so desirable
That sexy Suzie would find you so loveable
How could you forget you family left at home
Was it you were suffering from the middle age syndrome
Black and white the headlines scream out your name
That all you've ever worked for is up in flames
There's nothing left but ashes to the world you knew
And where is sext Suzie, she flew
where is sext Suzie, you knew

Its told sexy Suzie knows the story way to well
She looks you in the eye and your under that spell
Now how were you to know you were so desirable
That sexy Suzie would find you so loveable
Black and white the headlines scream out your name
That all you've ever worked for is up in flames
There's nothing left but ashes to the world you knew
And where is sexy Suzie, she flew
Where's that Suzie, you knew
That sexy Suzie, she flew
That sexy Suzie, she flew
That sexy Suzie, she flew
That sexy Suzie, she flew

Fine story telling song with some bluesy vibe!

Tasty lead guitar additions, too!

Well done, Trev!

Got me tapping right out of the gate...
it's so intense I didn't even notice there was no drums or bass.
and yet this is a massive and energetic track.

major points for the story...all too true for all too many folks...

not so Sexy Suzy

I hadn't noticed there were no drums or bass till I read Stephen M's comments - such a full sound from just the guitar backing. What effects did you use on the lead guitar ?

One of my college girlfriends went away for Christmas break and came back engaged. Sexy Suzie flew.

Way to open a wound (fake sobs).

Cool tune. I love the electric, but I wonder how the solo acoustic version would fare.

A great story and vocals Trevor. I hear a hint of Mr. Plant in your voice. Well done!

Love the sound on those guitars, Trev and as always your vocal is brilliant. Could you throw in some bass & drums?

Suzie was banger? I mean you made a quite the banger with this track. Perhaps i didn't understand all the lyrical intricacies as Suzie flew over my head, but i'm sure digging the vibe.

The way you're playing and singing makes this sound like a more dangerous and dirty version of Led Zeppelin. Gone are the pretty boy charms, and fondling of the instrument(s) and in is the street cred and wisdom!
