Prog Fans: "We don't talk about Foreigner."

McDonald was so good.

wow...this is sad for me... I loved Ian McDonald's work in Foreigner.  His work was a very big part of their sound in the early albums.  Songs like Long, Long Way From Home, Starrider, War With The World, etc....
Foreigner is one of my favorite bands (top 10 for sure)... I still listen to them bunches.  I especially love their first 4 albums but the first 2 are the most amazing IMO...and that is where Ian's work really shined (although he co produced "Head Games" the 3rd album and it was excellent and very different than the first 2).  I am a prog fan but I admit I became more of one after I was older (and already a huge fan of Foreigner)....
Foreigner had an amazing collection of talent.  I saw them twice.  Fantastic...RIP sir!

RIP Ian. A great multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. I loved his sax playing.
