Title: Tales from the Crapper
Post by: Zoltan on November 01, 2021, 02:21:04 PM
It's been rough at work so i've been just lurking around.
Just because of Halloween i tried to squeeze something out. The whole thing is based on a simple riff. There's 1 guitar track, 1 bass and a one take vocal with mostly improvised lyrics. It's a rush job of epic proportions :)

In the grand tradition of Judas Priest (?) here's an abomination called:

TALES FROM THE CRAPPER

V1
We don't take no shit from anybody else
We don't take no prisoners no returns

It's time to read a magazine!

CH:
Tales from the crapper
Squeezing the diamond

V2
You had your chance to be all alone
You blew it all away
The night is here it's locals only
There's no sweet release

Boys from the outhouse

CH:
Tales from the crapper
Squeezing the diamond

Bridge:
The outhouse is locked
I don't have the key
I'm feeling weak
I'm bending at my knees

V3 (V1 repeated)
CH

Outro
The outhouse is locked
I don't have the key
I'm feeling weak
I'm bending at my knees
I'm praying the lord
For a sweet release

The shitter is full tonight x 3

*
I think i've become a toilet rocker...

Great to hear from you again Zoltan and man, this track is a riot. Seriously made me laugh out loud, can't beat some good potty humour ;D. Great, steady rock sound as well and an excellent vocal.

Charming lyrics!  Love it!  Sqeezing the diamond - there's an image that will stay with me.

Haha! Great stuff. Love those lyrics, seriously funny. But the music is really good. The guitars sound great and a catchy melody.
Never heard " squeezing the diamond " before. Brilliant.

Wow, this rocks! Really punchy sound, great guitar riffing and a shitload of fun (see what I did there....?).

If you like songs on this subject matter, look for "The Strain" by the Bonzo Dog Band on YouTube. Another classic rock track, just like this one....

Thanks for the kind comments! There are so many great new songs here. I have some catching up to do!

Wife thinks this song idea is merde, so i'll save her from it. I took some time today for a "remix" and also tried to record the vocals again. I'm not sure if this version is better, or worse, but i just couldn't stop myself from trying to polish a turd...

good to have you back even if just for a short time... I heard this in the car a few times...I have to say this could be a Billy Idol lost track or to a lesser extent the Scorpions...(both of which I really like alot)...
lots of power in this one...
and fun lyrics as well

Love the tone and compression on that riffing guitar in my right ear. This rocks like a bastard! It's a funny lyric, but the music sounds completely serious to me. It's a great track - brilliantly performed and mixed.
