Title: Hello from a performing songwriter in the GBA (Greater Boston Area)
Post by: mdhastings on September 27, 2020, 10:05:56 AM
Hello all,
I am a longtime performing songwriter from the Greater Boston Area in Massachusetts. I've been playing piano since the age of 7, sooo... about 60 years now. I've played solo and in bands for much of that time.

My songwriting influences are pretty eclectic. I was trained Classically, learned to love Boogie, and Blues at a young age. Heavily influenced by Rock, Pop and Swing - Big Band music.

I've played many different keyboards over the years, but now run a fairly simple rig with a Casio Privia 5S, a Roli Seaboard Block keyboard, and use iPads for both lead sheets and additional sounds.

In recent years I have collaborated with musicians like Vance Grazio of Currier Square (SongCrafter: boneonbone). You may hear some of my keyboard work in songs he has posted here. I owe him a great deal for his efforts in Engineering and Production for the songs I will be posting on this site.

Welcome from deepest Berkshire/Hampshire UK (we are confused as on the boarder and have changed counties as few times). Will be interested in hearing the Seaboard keyboard in action, that is such a cool bit of gear. Welcome aboard the good ship Songcrafters.
