Title: Telecaster Fan Club Part 4! John Scofield cover Al Green Song by My Idol is Jahi
Post by: Jean Pierre on February 09, 2020, 12:24:07 AM
still in my quest for guitarist aficionado telecaster John Scoffield?
John Scoffield has been playing on an Ibanez AS 200 for more than 0 years but lately, with his band Uberjam, we have seen him perform with a telecaster.

but then the sound and the play are still made in John Scoffield...

I started the song with Uberjam Al Green Song with Uberjam in 2014 in San Sebastion (on YT)

as I didn't have the score, I played this piece in "Chordyfly" to get a chord grid a bit similar.
I started by trying to play John Scoffield's phrases, but very quickly I continued to improvise in my own way simply because I couldn't reproduce Scofield's particular game.

well finally I had a good time with Uke bass and Epiphone Les Paul in the first part then telecaster and Precision bass in the second part (after 3mn 20 until the end)

Real nice sound and playing JP. I can hear the distinct Tele bright tone when it kicks in. Well done!
