Title: "Keep Me Around" a Hook original

Did this over the last few days, here & there in the car. All done on the BR80 with the uke and Ipad.
1 uke/vocal (stereo)
1 drums (GB-stereo)
1 aux percussion (DJ-stereo)
1 bass (GB (stereo)
3 background vocals (stereo)
Keep Me Around
written & performed by Hook
Take me back
Hold me down
Set me straight
If your gonna keep around

Kept my feet on the ground

I dont know the reasons why
We cant trust these alibis
Nothing but stupid lies
We tell each other

All we do is play games
And each game is the same
Its really kinda lame

I know that ive got my faults
Lost the combination to too many vaults
Stepped on your toes when we tried to waltz
Can you ever forgive me

Opend up my mouth and let the words roll out
Realized what i'd said and then had my doubts

A cool mellow sound Hook! I like how the bass dances all around the Uke chords...nice! Smooth vocals and I dig the active percussion!

Grooving percussion works so fine!

Love the meandering bass early on. Some interesting lines in there. Nice choice of percussion as well.

This one has a nice vibe to it. I think it may be the understated vocals. Even as the tune builds, things percolate rather than hit you over the head.
