Got to thinking about a buddy of mine I hiked much of the Appalachian Trail with back in 1996. Did this last night in the car, cello is thumbjam.
1 Tres/vocal
1 cello
Dear Old Friend
written & performed by Hook
Will we meet again
Dear old friend
So many times I remember when
Your strength was all that got me round the bend

And time has spread our paths
Could they cross again
Miles are what connects us
My dear old friend

Such a different me
I imagine you the same
Of course I could be wrong
Perhaps I haven't changed

20 years makes a classic

That deserves a toast
On a mountain side

beautiful Hook, lovely plaintive arrangement, that Tres goes so well with the Cello.

Oh man, the Tres sounds just fantastic - reminds me of an Appalachian dulcimer. Wonderful song, Hook.

Very nice, that Tres sounds so bright and the presence shines through with poise.
Great lyrics and delivery in your voice.

This sounds so good. I'm really liking sparse arrangements these days, and this was just stellar. Really like the swicth to the G that then descends chromatically.

Your songwriting is right up my alley! It's so good and relaxing to hear simple, hand-made music like this. Very well done!

I like the atmosphere of this.

I can almost see Appalachian mountains and landscape when listening this!

A very pleasant song to listen to while I looked around to figure out what the heck a Tres was. Es Cubano.
