Apologies for not being around. Life gets in the way at times. First day back with teachers is tomorrow.
Here is a track from what I hope is something I'd like to call The Electric MoO (the drummer seems to be fighting it). Anyway, I called the bassist, drummer, and Lurker and gave them all HW assignments for our practice last Friday. I wouldn't tell anybody what I told the other people. This is what came of it after a two rough starts. I then dumped it over into my DAW and took some liberties while mixing it. Nothing else was recorded for it, but there was plenty of processing and a some editing in post.
Everett (EWC) took the solo and is doing the funkier rhythm. Lurker on vocals. He did the lyrics as well.
Peace.
Blooby
Teacher Teacher
Hey old man, I know you
You might remember me
Years ago, when I was young
You meant something to me
I learned from you, ways of my world
Land and sea and sky
You made me think, asked me to know
Figure out reasons why
I've grown up, become an adult
Turned my life to gold
What you did for me, helped me succeed
You've since gotten old
Hey old man, I know you
Helped make me what I am
I'm long gone, you're still there
Doing what you can
Teacher, Teacher
My old teacher
See you on the street
Do you know me
I remember
Learning at your feet
Children come, children go
You remain the same
Teach them the ways of their world
Then forget their names
Hey old man, I know you
Can't believe you're still there
Giving kids what your know
Good to know that you still care
Teacher, Teacher
My old teacher
See you on the street
Do you know me
I remember
Learning at your feet

Wow, wow, WOW!
Love the song. All the parts are so well performed, and the band is playing together.
Interesting to hear how you prepped everybody for the session and damn fine job with the production!
Great song, really tight and well played.
Real good work on this song guys! Has the tight sound of a band that's been playing together for a while.

It's a great song - superb musicianship throughout and Hooper congratulating you on the production is all you need to know on that score.
I hope you're touring the UK soon.

I haven't been around for a while either and what a great track to come back too...

Great work to a man guys.

It's a Wow from me, too. Great performances all round.
Loving that diminished fifth (if that it be) line at the end.
Nick :)
YeaH - I love a flat 5 too.
I listened to this the other day but had no time to comment. So I had to listen again. What a hardship - not! Great song, fine performance and the production is way up there. Particularly like the subtle synth sequence after the guitar solo and the snare sound. You can't beat a good snare. Or perhaps you can.....
