As a result of the Byrds fest, i have been blown away by the stuff David Crosby has done, his new album "Lighthouse" is incredible even more so when you consider his age and the life he has lead.
Anyway i digress, i have been trying to find a song of his i could cover, but i will never have the chops, but during my research of his oeuvre, i came across the "Crosby" tuning (EBDGAD).
Still couldn't master any of his songs, but this song resulted very quickly from said tuning.
It is what it is.

This was great, brilliant vocal arrangement.
Braw tell your maw!
Tuning, vocal, atmosphere it all sounds freaking awesome. Rock on!
Very well done ORH! The tuning absolutely brings to mind D. Crosby's style. Those backing vocals are perfectly placed. One of your finest to my ears!
Farrell
Superb ethered reverbered guitar sounds, great choeurs / backing vocals

i had planned to do this one one my jasmine electro acoustic, it sounded great in that tuning, but the guitar jack in, on my fishman pickup, popped out and into the guitar, so thats why i went for the woollies.
gonna look out my smallest philips screwdriver, and see if i can repair pick up. if i can, i might try a redo but with a bigger production.
cos all i hear are the pops, fluffs and my bad timing lol.
I like the atmosphere as well! Great songwriting and Crosby tuning sounds fine! Well done!
"it is what it is".... it is nice and mellow ~~~~ another great tune.
Brother Hooper is into open chords these days and has talked it up with me so I'm looking into picking one I might like.
This is really well done James, one of your best I dare say. Dreamy but interesting lyrics (what it is is meaningful), this time carried by a lofty (Crosby) guitar lick with a deft touch on the reverb. Nice second vocal too.
Well done sir.

Yes as the others have said great atmosphere and tone allied with the haunting vox makes for a excellent listen, well played on the tuning too.
