One of the things about Spring this year was trying and failing to grow sunflowers from seeds. Then recently I was shopping as noticed that the supermarket were still selling the seeds. "That can't be right", I remember thinking. And then I wrote a song about it, yada, yada.
It's a short piece for piano, string quartet and erhu. And singer. For a while I've been labouring under the delusion that I can do crooning; my recordings never quite live up to how I sound in my head.
What a creative force you are my friend. I dig this totally.
