Title: Chances Are
Post by: The Gobi Desert Canoe Club on July 07, 2017, 10:20:58 AM
Well there's no doubt about it, I am cracking up. I've selected one of my favourite Byrd songs, even got the twelve string out and started rehearsing, but all of a sudden it turned into a heavyish vampire song. Must be the heat. Meanwhile back to the Byrds.    Willie

Chances are your futures none too bright
Chances are that you won't be home tonight
Hunters hunted aint no place to hide
You keep looking to the early morning light

They're as old as time
You won't scare them with your logic

You can pray, you can talk to them
You can plead for their mercy
Their eyes are cold, they got no soul
It's something they don't need

They're as old as time
You won't scare them with your logic

Time to them is the blinking of an eye
Time to them is nothing at all

Instrumental

They're as old as time
You won't scare them with your logic

Verse two fade to end

This is real good Willie! The twelve string and the harmonies do bring to mind the Byrds but this is all your style and a cool one at that!

Playing catch up,
Being busy decorating the last couple of days
Really good to relax with a large Jack Daniels single barrel and listen to Willie at his best,
Really good.....
