Title: Chops - odh original
Post by: ODH on June 30, 2017, 02:03:14 PM
It's called Chops because it began life as a couple of verses of words.  Last night I had a brief opportunity to do some music for the words and ended up with something not suitable for them.

It's a short guitar-bass-drums romp.  Guitar parts are done on the Tele-alike, bass on GB played in through the performance pad and drums are my friend Logan again.

Enjoy.

And do head-banging if you like

Nick

Very cool chops Nick! I can hear a Beatle-ish melody in there. A very upbeat toon!

Nice one Nick,

Agree with Farrell, a bit of a Beatle'ish melody,

Really well done.....

I should have mentioned that the melody that makes up the bulk of the second and fourth quarters of the piece comes from the Jaws theme. I was consciously using it knowing it was a familiar refrain, although I didn't twig it was that until later.

Thanks for the comments Farrell and Alex.

Nice instrumental Nick! I like the rhythm guitar tone and here's some really tasty lead guitar riffs!

Because this is short I'm on the second listening!

Brilliant!
