As we travel down this highway
not quite knowing where we go
We dare not look behind us
cause were scared of what we have to let go
the days get shorter
and the sun it shows, no quarter
Another year is over
and life gets a little shorter

we watch our children grow
getting older by the day
as they change into adults
we realise we have no say

Life goes faster
Each year that goes
they pass a little faster
as everyone truly knows

we say goodbye to our loved ones
as they get older and fade
They live in our yesterday
where everything was better when we weren't so afraid
as the years go on, the young and old become one
There is no difference
we are all one

When we were younger
You thought the old didn't have clue
