Title: "The Character Underneath" a Hook original
Post by: Hook on April 20, 2017, 04:54:04 AM
I've got some catching up to do around here, but I finished this one this morning. Started on the Tascam 24sd and finished up on the BR80.
1 rhythm guitar
1 lead guitar
1 Acoustic Bass
1 Roland Handsonic (stereo)
1 lead vocal (stereo)
1 background vocal (stereo)
1 harmonized trumpet (EWI-stereo)
The Character Underneath
written & performed by Hook
Do you know a way
out of this mess
A chance to set things right
More or less
To step back into time
Make a different choice
A left instead of right
Finding my voice

The smallest ripples
create the largest waves
The little moments
Define an entire age
The scars endured
Mold like clay
As the character underneath
Takes center stage

Can you see a future
That doesn't explode in pain
Or end with unneeded sacrifice
Or unwanted shame
Where definitions are
Clear and concise
And expectations don't
Come with a price

Amazing world of Hook music!! To my ear this has some new wave vibe! Liked the guitar tone -  nice fuzz tone!

Fantastic performance!
