As I am on my own on Christmas day I decided to invite Mrs Chapman from a few doors away, she lives on her own and is 90 on Christmas day,
She was so looking forward to it but yesterday she had a fall and broke her hip so she will now be in Hospital for Xmas, I will visit her today the hospital is about 30 miles away, I will also go and see her on Christmas day the visiting is late afternoon so that will be the first year I will have my dinner with no alcohol, and probably the first Christmas I will not fall asleep in the armchair about 5-30, lol
All the very best to everyone.. Alex
What a nice gesture Alex... a very kind offer but what a sad thing to happen as well.
I hope Mrs Chapman gets better soon and with community spirit like that i am sure it will help her to a speedy recovery.
PS. I am sure the wait for the wee drink or two will make it all the sweeter!!
;)
Well done Groundy, what a lovely gesture
B
