I've been a bit into the scotch this eve, so I know 64 is going to swoop in like some caped crime-fighter and embarrass me to death.

Having said that, I seem to remember there is an mp3 mode and then a recorder mode. You need to import the MP3 into a song file, and then you can add tracks. That's a lousy explanation but surprisingly on point.

Anybody? Anybody?

press utility
then press SNG
then press NEW
then press EXE
this creates a new song folder
then again press utility
press TRK
screen reads
TRACK EDIT
CPY:MOV:ERS:XCH
press the right cursor
screen should now read
TRACK EDIT
IMP:EXP
press IMP
now using the value  + and - buttons, highlight the mp3 you want to import.
then click NEXT
screen should read
Import to TR1-V1
the 1 after TR should be underlined, hit the value+ button until it shows TR12V1
then hit TIM then hit NEXT then hit YES.
this will import the mp3 in stereo format to v1 tracks 1 and 2., to get full stereo effect be sure to fully pan the tracks left and right. this leaves you tracks 3 and 4 to make additions to.

i hope that makes sense. once you do it a few times it becomes second nature.
