Title: Compressing Drums on the BR600
Post by: Black Mary on July 16, 2016, 08:33:46 AM
Hi there.
I use my Roland kit to record my drums onto my BR600 using the line in input but they could really do with a bit compression. Has anyone discovered a decent 'line in' COSM effect to do this?
Thanks for any suggestions.

The default algorithm for Line In is STEREO MULTI which includes a compressor. There are some Line In preset patches with compression, but I would recommend creating your own. Just dial up any of the Line In presets that use the STEREO MULTI algorithm and turn off everything except the compressor and maybe the Noise Suppressor. Then adjust the compressor settings as desired and save the patch to the USER or SONG bank. See page 102 of the BR-600 manual for details on the Compressor effect.
