I was just trying out a new used Squier Jazz I got for $125. Apparently, the open E string works.
The acoustic part after the sucky, vortexy sound was supposed to have singing on it, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Left well enough alone with a second acoustic instead.
More weirdness.

Weird wonderfullness what better way to start a day is there?
Like it Blooby......
Some great sounds going on here....
Alex
Nice work Blooby. This is cool.
I like the flanger and the delay.
And I like the second part with the acoustics.
Ian
I can't get enough weirdness. The fretless bass lines are wild - but not as wild as the synthy solo. And then the magic change of pace for the end section.
Great composition - love it.
Paul
Love it brother but listening through cappy phone speaker, will come back with cans later.
Rock on!
Very interesting composition, with a ton of great ideas in it. And nice dynamics in the playing throughout. This sounds fab on my MacBook Pro speakers - going to have a closer listen on the good headsets.
Loved the both parts! Really cool tones on the first and the second was very serene and beautiful! Enjoyable listening.
playing catch up, all work and no play for this auld yin. glad i got a chance to catch this. bloody 'mazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is great, Blooby. The contrast between the sections doubles the aural excitement. There's some very enjoyable ambience listening with cans too. Very nice indeed.

Do you remember that Prog Rock concept we talked about a couple of years ago? It sounds like it's time to resurrect it.

I'm sorry, John, but I just don't feel that the notion of veal porn is appropriate for this site. Didn't the therapy take at all?

Actually, I like meat. I don't love it. Not like that, anyway. Not lately.
Really cool tune, I was wondering how you would return to the first part - and then you didn't.
That's so cool Blooby - I love that reverse (???) echo, sounds wicked.
Almost jumped out of my skin on xmas morning :-) Huge sounds. Lovely. The acoustic bit reminds me of something Steve Howe would do. Splendid.

Great work Blooby, right out there. You took us on a great journey here... to many places and then back home again. Awesome work and great playing too!
Mike
Heard this the other day, wanted to come back for a proper listen... just awesome. Nothing sucky about any of it, sounds so good , both parts. Nice playing.
The E string on the $125 bass does work well but so does the A, D, and G......this is kind of trippy. I might need to spike my morning coffee with some Jack to get the full affect of the song, lol. Nice playing on the acoustic.
Hey I just noticed that you hit 4,000 posts....CONGRATS Blooby!
Farrell
Who the hell wouldn't love this, its got it all, composition, great playing, creative ideas flowing, groove baby groove, Rick Wakeman soiling his pants, fantastic acoustic sounds that just caress my soul, blissfully music making........whats not to love. Your acoustic part kills me, thats what i like right there, that kind of thing. How did you record the acoustic part?

Washburn (as seen in the AlachuaMet videos) I got on the cheap through a Presonus Eureka Preamp into a Rode NT-1 microphone. I would still like to do a version with vocals during that section.
Thanks for listening and commenting folks. Happy new year.

It's not easy getting me to dance in my seat at that tempo, but you managed it right from the start. I love the guitars. Tone and playing and space. (definitely not sucky) Ooh, great sounding acoustic. A perfect minimalist mirror to the main riffage. I'm in all the way. Love it.
