On Wednesday I had to carve a pumpkin, which I've never done before.
To start though I carved a tangerine. I then wrote a song about it. As you do.
To begin, this was going to be the end of the Cathedral post (there was to be a dialogue between the scary Cathedral guy and the geeky fruit guy), then it was part 1 and part 2. Now they're just stand alone.
Halloween Tangerine

I carved a face into some fruit today
And evil spirits will be kept at bay
So if you mean me harm just go away
Okay?
This orange fruit will keep me safe and well
And now I know I won't be going to Hell
I really think that you should get one as well
Oh yeah
Pumpkin's just as good you claim
Seems to me it's just not the same
So if you go to Hell then that's a shame
Oh shame

Great fun stuff. Love the raspy string noise at the start and end. Oh - and the bit in between is brill too, too!

haha..this is great and that halloween tangerine carving is brilliant. why didn't i think of that! ;D Great punky styled song, love the guitars and drums and your lyrics are cool and quite funny in places. nice catchy chorus.
