Title: Quality
Post by: Flash Harry on March 23, 2015, 02:09:56 PM
Difficult to define I know. (Pirsig, Zen and the Art...)

However, I know it when I experience it. And recently the quality of output from the members on this site has been outstanding. Am I the only one to see it or other people spotting it also?

Yep ... I've noticed it too. Almost intimidating !!! Well it does push us to strive to be better, but I hope it won't stop us from posting stuff that's not recorded with a Telefunken U47 through an Apogee interface into ProTools !!

I use dwarf star matter.

Of course, if you don't have a dwarf star it doesn't matter.

You said Telefunken U47. You may as well have said 'Penis'.

I think the talent has always been here but we are getting better at the craft, which involves the whole end to end process. The companies like Roland also kick us along by bundling products to encourage the purchase of software and peripherals like microphones. I have enjoyed all of that over the past 5-6 years.

I recently acquired Addictive Drums. Nice program.
