Title: "The Two Cookies" - Ambient Acoustic Guitar/Thumbjam Thingie
Post by: Blooby on March 07, 2015, 08:58:16 PM

First time I was able to noodle for a while. Improvised ambient weirdness. The reverb is again the VintageVerb plug-in. Unfortunately, it compels me to overuse it. There's some steel guitar via Thumbjam in there as well.

Oh yes... this is my kind of "ambient weirdness". Often, when I read that sort of thing in a blurb, I find the actual recording is a bit to, er, "high-brow" for my tastes :D

But this is fab - some nice guitar playing with a tune I can follow. And wow, that reverb is kinda cute.

Your playing is brilliant!!! Instrumental track at its best!! The VintageVerb puts a tasty flavor on this! Enjoyable listening!

What lovely sounds - both the guitar (and TJ steel) and how they blend so well in that reverb. Gorgeous!

I'm torn between amazement and jealousy, lol.

This is truly outstanding in it's mellow, smoky mountain sunrise kind of ambience. Such a lovely flavour.

To die for!

Gorgeous playing and gorgeous reverb! That reverb carries those acoustic notes so beautifully and beyond infinity. I aspire to achieve your greatness here Blooby....and I want a reverb like that!

This is totally fantastic, it doesn't feel like a throw-off, or a tosser, or any other such words for self-indulgient wankery..........it feels like an organic nugget of wonderment, musical wonderment, a feeling, a mood, a stream of thought, a well thought out meandering along a mountain brook, through a high medow on route to an old cabin.....where a fire waits crackling...to warm the tired journeyman and refresh before heading on the journey.........and in the corner sits a old Martin Guitar.......and the wanderer finds the guitar pleasing to look at, and hold................and in that moment spills forth a little re-telling of his journey...............steel strings, wood vibrating........fire cracking.............pot of stew warming over the fire...........and the sound of contentment pouring out the open door............I could listen to this all day.

I think Standard.  It's 95% standard and 5% dropped D for me. I have a hankering to play in DADGAD, but I never leave it in the tuning long enough to let it sink in.

Thank you for the bump.
