The Saga of the little yellow 'uke

Someone plucked a ukulele and threw it far away
A poor little yellow ukulele left floating in the bay
It was mentioned on the news today
It made sad viewing I have to say
Experts said "unusual in everyway  -that someone could be so callous
And throw a 'uke away"
Someone plucked a ukule and threw it in the bay

A local policeman said today
"The world gets stranger in everyway
I've heard of bagpipes being thrown over harbour walls
And even banjos nailed to town halls
But for some to 'uke a ukulele
And throw it in the bay
Man we live in this weird old world and it gets wierder everyday"

At it's burial service someone was heard to say
Before this uke is put under the clay
It's only right to give it one last pluck
So they all produced their ukes  and they all began to pluck
