Hi!
Here's another song for RemoteFest. I wrote this last week here at the Lake Sääksjärvi (Finland), when summer rain and thunder were very close, but it passed by this place. I haven't time to record this then.
Today, I went (by boat) to an desolate island and recorded this song by the shore. The weather is very hot right now, about 29 centigrades and the sun is shining. "A blue hole in the cloud" was photographed while writing lyrics. Right now, here isn't any threat of thunder or even summer rain, but this is a gentle wish of refreshing rain, perhaps, though I love this weather.
Recorded live on Micro BR by using mp3 mode with ForNylon effect. Trimmed on Audacity. Sorry for the hiss, it caused by "gentle wind" :D . I played my trusty old Landola from the 70's.
My goal was reach the ghost of the nature, summer day and desolated island and keeping this as a minimalistic song.
Thanks for listening. (pics followed)
Very lovely Kari - this fest is a delight :D
Here's some pics. Sorry for the quality. My iphone was on selfie mode...

This is soooo good. Perfect mellow acoustica with a catchy chorus, and the guitar sounds fabulous. So sweet and intimate. Reminds me of ORH in places!
This is really beautiful Kari !
Love the dynamics with the fragile verses and the more powerful chorus. A really catchy chorus is is too. I'm still singing it after the song stopped.
