It's not a spoof. It's a documentary film about a real band...
I hope to get to see this at the cinema soon!

UK Release is 20th Feb I believe. It's been getting some outstanding reviews.
And it'll probably strike a chord with some of us aging rockers... ;)

I remember Bad News well... as well as I can for something so far in the past! I was a big fan of those Comic Strip shows. A fistful of travellers cheques was a much quoted one amongst my mates at the time... :)
Bad News? Rock'n'roll top of the class, stuff the media up your.....
Afraid that all the Bad News epics are known word perfect in this house. Truly hysterical. My son's just turned 13 and plays in a band, he's enjoyed these already. His New Year's Eve treat this year was to watch Spinal Tap, he now quotes it as much as me! Can't wait to see the Anvil movie.
And as for a Fistful of Traveller's Cheques, that was pant wettingly funny. I guess you are of the same generation as me Greeny, altho I suspect I have a few years on you.....
Cheers,
Nigel
How come there's no soft toilet paper?
This is the Hotel Bastardos! You want the soft toilet paper? You go to the Hotel Gayboy!
:D
(funnier in a mexican accent... !)
Don't get me started......
It also featured my favourite band, the Mexican Beatles - John, Paul, George and Gringo.
Every time any one mentions the Eagles when we are out, my wife and I always turn to each other and say, in a hippy drawl, "Everybody likes the Eagles...." to universal blank looks.
Cheers,
Nigel

never heard of-lol
As I expected, another blank look :D
An early 1980s alternative comedy series in the UK that was very cutting edge. Us old(er) UK guys trade catch phrases. But any muso would love the "Bad News Tour" episodes, worth checking out if they are ever on cable.

Nigel

I remember the series Nigel.
They had a white van that ran out of fuel as I remember and the band beat up the TV crew that were filming the documentary about them and nicked their gear.
Bangers? Two pounds for one sausage!
Funny funny stuff. I agree, well worth watching out for.
