Title: Like Jim Said
Post by: thetworegs on November 26, 2012, 12:44:35 PM
Well it's just like Jim said but Jazzy........................
Jim was right no one gets out of here alive
so whats the point in me standing here and spinning you a line
i'm gonna lay it out, I'm gonna spit it right on out to you
I love you and i want you to love me too
oh yes i do

i want you to want me as much as i want you
now come on babe lets get this thing going on

Like  Jim was right no one gets out of here alive
so whats the point in me standing here and spinning you a line
i'm gonna lay it out, I'm gonna spit it right on out
I love you and i want you to love me too
oh yes i do

The pure brilliant simplicity and sparseness of this song it what makes it so good for me, a perfect example of less is more.

Didn't really sound that jazzy to me, which is good as I can't stand jazz music ;)

Whilst I have loved some of your recent stuff with the £16 special, I think that you really do excel with that piano and voice combination.

Ace tune!!

Sounds like Andy Kaufman playing a church organ, doing an Elvis impression of Morrison singing about his life.  Which is to say that I agree with TW up there when he says Ace tune (as said previously)...........and I'll venture to add one more.............precise.  There is a feeling here that is real and clear and strong, and a little spooky even.
