Title: "Saltwater Stream" a Hook original

Haven't been writing much lately but I've been working on this for a while. Done both in my car & in my studio over the last 2 weeks or so. recorded on mbr & mixed on the br900.
2 uke
2-bass
1-tambourine & mint container drum set
1-brush stroke loop with jembe & bass drum (thumbjam)
1-cymbal (TJ)
2-trumpet (TJ)
1-vocal (mono)
1- vocal (stereo)

Saltwater Stream
written & performed by Hook
I don't know what lies before me
I don't know if it will wait around
I can't tell you which is worse
To have & to lose
Or not to have ever found

            I let go, I'm set free on the tide
            Of the tears I cried for you
            & now I float down this
            Saltwater stream of memories & dreams
            Now I'm washed clean
            Of the stain that our love became
            What a wicked game
            That only brings pain

I don't know if I can handle
The emptiness that I now feel
I can't tell you which is worse
To live without love
Or to watch love disappear

            & pain always leads me to shame

This is ear candy, Hook! Very gentle tones on vocals and music! Fine tune! The trumpet sounds great!!

Holy man this is crazy good!! So much to take in but pure class hook still. That trumpet is so perfect for the feel.

It`s amazing what we can do on a phone now..I don`t talk to people anymore! lol

Vocals are outstandingly good!!

Wow, wicked vocals bro - Super range and tight pitch, sounds awesome.

And that trumpet sounds real - Like you got that guy from Cake to stand in for you!

Excellent song Hook and who doesn't love a good trumpet ...I adore them...great  stuff keep them coming from the Nissan studios....you should be sponsored.....possibly worth a letter. ;)

Excellent bump. I remember the minty shaker - it made appearances on many compositions :-)
Great tune brother - this one drifts along and washes over you. Excellent.
