Wrote these lyrics the day the site was blacked out and have been toying around with the structure whenever I'd get a chance. It's of course inspired by this legislation crap so maybe it's a protest song, I don't know. This is LITLR , I'd love to produce it but doubt that I have the time now, if anybody is inspired feel free!

& if my words somehow speak to you
Let them be a seed

That begins to take root
& grows into something more
If this part of me touched you that way
Then all the honor is mine I'm sure

Cover Me when you get angry
Cover me just to let it out
Go ahead & say some things you might never have said
Sometimes it's easier with other people's words
coming out of our mouths

For words are just our thoughts & fears
Our tender smiles & our salty tears
Phrases heard about a million times
Stored somewhere in the back of our minds

I remember times when words & rhymes
Touched souls & saved lives
Now we got all the tours is yours and mine is mine
& does it really add up to more than a few nickels and dimes

Cover me when ideas escape you
Cover me to help you clear the way
For all your own inspirations
I know I'm not the first to strum some chords
& sing a melody

& songs are meant to be sung
& a good tune oughta be hummed
Everybody seems to have a guitar
& 1 out of 3 have mbr

So cover me & I'm gonna cover you

Fab man and guitar tune, Hook. Beautiful song! Sounds a classic pop tune to me!!

That`s a lot of words in this..I`m impressed! I like that 1 in 3 have mbr line. Nice one!

Bloomin heck, this is good stuff for a live recording. Superb playing and wonderful vocal performance. And it sounds crystal clear and sharp in the recording. Powerful stuff, really enjoyed this.

I'd better do some more cover songs!
