Well here,s the story, was on holiday last week in Dubai, Mrs SE son lives there, ended up in this music shop as you do and saw this guitar it was so beautiful I asked the salesman how much and he said £2000 so I looked at the mrs and she looked at me, I left with a tambourine ;D ;By the way it was Taylor T 5 electric.
Here,s a bit of fun with the afore mentioned tambourine and no Taylor T5
last time i was in a music shop with mrs orh she let me buy a plectrum.
great post john. loving the lead reminds me of captain beefhearts magic band.
Nice instrumental SE! You write very versatile music!!
A bit samba vibe, but in my opinion this sounded a lost Clash song from Sandinista, lol... I could imagine Joe Strummer's voice on this!
Kari
Nice one John, yet more versatility from you.
Loving the guitar "stabs" over the samba beat...such a cool vibe to this tune.
Damn this is cool groove...danceable, tough and lots of fun. Nice job on the tambourine. I'm with Redler - it really does have a Clash feel circa This is Radio Clash/Sandinista.
captain beefhearts magic band.....yeah, maybe, or maybe Clash, or maybe P.Gabriel.....or maybe...........really funky grooving song John. I really like this.
I'm picking up the Clash in this too. But I love what you've done - that's such a tight and funky latin groove. This is dying out for vocals - it would take it to another level. Fantastic work. Impossible not to like, and very addictive.
Love it John !!
Thanks for all you feedback, got me thinking so added some vox, so here you go
Wow! This sounds great with the vox. Love the way you deliver them. The whole thing has a great sense of urgency and movement. It's turned into an Indie masterpiece!
I liked the intrumental version a lot, but have to say that the added vocals make it even better. Love your voice, and the way it sits perfectly in the overall mix....an instant favourite of mine ;D
Great addition, John! Agree with daveyboy above!!
Kari
Hi, I enjoyed both versions, that's a tasty groove you get into there. Mrs Willie doesn't let me go to music stores anymore, I came home with a PRS last time. LOL...............Willie
This tune has a big does of "F*ck Yeah!!!!"
This needs to be in some kind of TV programme!!!
SUPERB John!
Vocal is Priceless Bro! It Works sooooo Well!
Love it John, your native tongue really shines through here!
Works great both ways for me
Dude, this could be a Stones jam or something, it's that good! Love the vox, and the music is fantastic.
You're also getting really keen with your mixes now - Well done, bro!
Mark
Can only say thanks again, this started off as just a piece of fun, but when I sat down and started to think of lyrics, the samba beat and Trainspotting came to mind and this is how it turn out.
Thanks again
John
Nice song going on here good beat nice guitar work. song is
well executed. nice story about guitar thumbs up regards NEI L
Wow!!
I listened to the instrumental first - loved it. I was reading the Clash comments and thinking "yeah mebbe..." but I don't really know much about them, they kinda passed me by.
What I was thinking was "this could do with orh on it... I just bet he's had a fiddle with it already..."
But over all I was reaching the conclusion that what we really need is "Alex Harvey" here...
And then I reached the Vox version. I put it on, was waiting in anticipation to see what you'd done... and there "he" was! :D. You did exactly what I wanted to hear.
Perfect. Lovely job :)
I also listened to the voxless version first and thought: "What a nice bedtrack for vocals. I wonder if the vocal version will do it justice". And it does! :)
Very well done, and the overall sound is good too.
Regards,
Steffen
I agree with Launched, this is definately got a Stones vibe
going on. Your vox shines in this one for sure.

oh this almost slid past me. The instrumental was fantastic to listen to, but with Vox it's complete, and pushed it over the top John. Glad to hear the tambourine though the guitar would have been very very nice.
Well here we go,a bump from 2011, which I apologise for now.
This could be an SE thing, but I never stick to one genre.
I can hear some "radio clash" in this..brilliant instrumental, the music is really cool and so well performed and recorded. Did you ever get that guitar? LOL.
