Title: Soundcraft mixer
Post by: ianjm on February 03, 2011, 11:29:56 AM
Does anyone on here use or have any input on Soundcraft notepad 102 mixers.
Thinking of getting one but need advice.
It will be used mainly for jamming with a mate, 2mics, laptop with backers, br for recording us live using the line in, and going out to 2x180w active pa speakers

cheers

I've used a Soundcraft Spirit Folio throughout the nineties for all my home/session recordings. Great build quality, very low noise, super EQ.

They have nice 'British' pre-amps. I have a Folio and it's rather good, except I have lost one channel at the moment - must get round to fixing that - but I'd recommend SoundCraft any time. Good quality.

And having Phantom Power you can use good quality condenser mics such as those from AKG and Rode.
