I suggest sandwiching a song around a recent instrumental, which I modified a little. If nothing else, it's long.

Sorry about any fidelity issues as I had to squash it quite a bit (96 kb/s).

ooooo.... the intro is sweet and then the knowledge that this is 9 minutes long... so I am digging in!

diggin in... very moody at the offset.... hints at the southern sounds... which I adore.

right now I am listening on headphones, I prefer my ref monitors but this will do for the time, as there is too much going on in the house.

I like the sparseness at times in the music for Lurker to sing around.... that is very effective and creates a strong emotion.  At times John's vocals at the top, the vibrato reminds me of hummingbird wings or a buzzing bee... very, very cool..

This must have been a bugger of work to put together...

song seems to end... but I know it doesn't... waiting... waiting.. ah there it is... and some really great difference too... this is like an album side... love that low vol lead guitar around the picked guitar... against the stomping beat... i love foot stomping beats.. very mountain... very rough... very rugged.. primal... then it goes a little techno... for a split.

those little guitar leads are so slick... slick!
nobody can do it like Blooby... and John's vocals and lyrics are a match made in heaven.

Great stuff! It's like a mini concept album ;-) Prog is alive and well. Loved the different sections. Never outstayed it's welcome. Cool job.

I had to get home from work, cook supper, and help my kid with homework. I was a bit delayed, but here are the lyrics:

Part I

A draw here, a pry there
The prow kept on course with care
All the while, all around
The mind is drawn by sights and sounds
Some delight, some distract
They will always line your path

Feel the water's flow
To know the way to go
Feel the water's flow
Where it takes us only time can show

The current sets a one way course
Fierce then gentle constant force
Sometimes broad sometimes narrow
A bent and twisted winding arrow
These the boater navigates
Guided both by choice and fate

Feel the water's flow
To know the way to go
Feel the water's flow
Where it takes us only time can show

Wisdom isn't bound to a single path
Truths are learned through choices both good and bad
The current carries forward to the same end
Even when we paddle against the trend

Part II

Free yourself to explore the world within
Find the heart that opens up your mind
Let your senses flow outward to know
The universe that lies within your time

Backward facing we move to the future
No artifice reveals what this will be
Anchor to the now to ride the tide
Lest the ebb of time sweep you to sea

Give each moment offered the attention
That comes from knowing it will end fast
No moment will ever be repeated
Present ever flowing to the past

Part III

The boater studies, learns the ways
Learns to watch, learns to wait
How to act or to let go
How to trust when they don't know
Whether these new signs portend
A cataract around the bend

Feel the water's flow
To know the way to go
Feel the water's flow
Where it takes us only time can show

Ah yes I remember that intrumental bit. The song around it is good too. Great vocals.

Hell yeah! Great foreboding acoustic intro that segways into some sweet Techno Garcia space rock! Your playing never ceases to amaze me. Awesome vocals from Lurker too

A epic song of Epic proportions. Great work guys. It's good the way you constructed the song around the original instrumental. The lyrics and vocals are brilliant , the music too. Such good guitar work.
