Super 8

Just getting back into this and was wondering about Mastering using the built-in Mastering Tool Kit in the BR1600. Even after having read the manual on this topic a number of times I'm still a little unclear as to how to get the best from this feature. Is there something I'm missing where metering is concerned. I'm screwing my eyes up trying to accurately read the 9/10 and Stereo Master Output level column readings to the right of the Mastering Toolkit display window but it's hard (for me at least) to be accurate. The levels on the meters read 0dB \ -4 \ -12 \ -24 \ -48. Is there another level window behind the scenes where's there's a more accurate stereo meter shpwing more units (especially between Unity Gain and -10dB)? Any advice on how best to get the most out of this BR1600 Mastering Tool Kit set up would be much appreciated.
