Songs Done with Alternate Guitar Tunings - Fairly obvious. When you post, you have to tell us which alternate tuning you used.

Songs with words that don't rhyme - Pretty obvious. Write an original song where the words don't rhyme. Or do a cover of a song where the words don't rhyme, if you can find one (there probably aren't many).

AtmosphericFest - Atmospheric music, also known as Ambient music. Can be originals or covers.

BassFest - Songs made just with a bass, drums, and vocals. See this video for inspiration.

JingleFest - Write an advertising jingle for any product or service; real or imagined. Or cover your favourite jingle.

Songs about famous people - Pretty obvious. The song's lyrics must be about a famous person or famous people in general.

I think a Summer Song fest would be better in the middle of winter as it would provide a nice virtual escape from the freezing cold weather. In fact, that was the original idea when it was first suggested by oldrottenhead in January 2010:
