exporting drum patterns

Started by cflyte, December 30, 2011, 07:42:41 AM

Hi all, I am new to this "gadget" which is amazing to say the least.

I have roughly put down two ideas that I want to work on in Sonar on my PC.

With the help from 64 guitars I have been able to transfer the tracks BUT is there a way to transfer the drum patterns that I have used?

Kind regards

G'day, somewhat remiss of me to mention "gadget" as there are so many. :D

It is a Boss BR80.

Kind regards

I don't think there's any way to export drum arrangements as MIDI files. However, you can export them as audio files. Just set all of the track levels at minimum (but keep the Rhythm level up) and bounce (see pages 80 and 81 of the BR-80 manual). The resulting pair of tracks will contain just the drums. Export those two tracks using BR Wave Converter, then load them into SONAR with the rest of your tracks.
