Title: SSD HARD DRIVE
Post by: pokemon099 on February 07, 2021, 07:39:05 AM
I have some converters for hard drives. IDE to SATA

If i put a SATA drive with the converter to the IDE port on the BR1600, will it work and if it does, will I gain a little speed for transfers via USB

The converters work on my desktop. I tried it in the BR but I only have a 120gb. If it does work I will buy a SATA or even a SSD 60 or 80 gb

Thanks

This has been asked before here on an older thread

Apparently it's possible to replace but you need to have a 40 gb disk.  The system is designed for 40 gb.

Thanks WarpCanada for the reply. I thought it wouldn't work.

As for the 80gigs, it does work ok. Makes 2 partitions of 40 gigs (IDE drive)
