Cover Songs / Re: Little Red Rooster

hey Jules
Songcrafters is a great community and the amount of production, most of which is amateur, is really considerable.

for my part, when I'm thinking of doing a cover, I always do a search using the portal's "search" tool to find out if there have already been any covers done by colleagues.
the portal's "search" tool to find out if there have already been covers produced by colleagues and if so, to draw inspiration from them.

So have you listened to my friend Alex's versions?

Original Songs / White Girl In White
Last post by Ray Brookes - Yesterday at 03:18:23 PM
White girl in white
Beautiful in her wedding dress
White girl in white
Hair makeup; looking her best
He never did show that day
She didn't know he'd run away
White girl in white
Left waiting in the chapel.

They tried to comfort her
Till the taxi came to get her
Arms around her; words of wisdom
To make her feel better
Girl in tears in sorrow in grief
All the guests shake their heads in disbelief
White girl in white
Left waiting in the chapel.

Meanwhile in a smokey grungy bar
Somewhere north of the border
He sits with his comforting beer
Staring at the ring he bought her.
Without a sign or a word from his mouth
Jumps in his car and heads down south
To the white girl in white
He left waiting at the chapel.

An epic track and well performed/produced. The lyrical theme is interesting and always current. I also watch the vids by Joe Gilder occasionally -very helpful.

Great cover, Jules - nice bluesy slide and distortion and faithful to the Stones version.
