Your tunes are consistently next level. That last stanza was wonderfully surprising. Great keys.

Although I love would you did here, it made me wonder how this would sound in a more traditional country format. I say this because I think it is pitch-worthy and might stand a batter shot.

Super nice post.

I hear you about genreless. Having said that, there are times I can remember thinking, "This tune is too normal," and then purposely do some musical non-sequitur. As for covers, many of my favorite bands peppered covers in their setlists. Everybody from Tommy Emmanuel to the Allman Brothers to The Tedeschi Trucks Band. If it's a good song, it's a good song.

Very cool rocker. I dig the big riff. I've done a few tunes for weddings, and I can't divorce myself (pun intended) from the event when I go back and hear the tunes. Hopefully, you will have a similar experience.  Congratulations to your family.

A Fine production and performance. Great all around! Your lyrics/vocals are always top notch. The jazzy keyboard added frosting to the cake! 8)

This is a superb song.
Like the Move morphing into ELO.
Reminds me of early Roy Wood ELO.
I'm a big ELO fan so this is right up my street
I listened to this several times on loop today in my car.
You sound very like Berry patch on this vocally.
Love that guitar break .
Everything about it is top notch.

I hear ELO of course but also Beatles. The lyrics struck a chord with me. The melancholy in your lyrics is superb. The vocals are so fitting as is the guitar solo over the final chords - love it

Classy stuff Ray. I would love to be able to create drum patterns like that. Lyrics and vocals are spot on. Love it.
