Hi you all,
In a previous post I mentioned a little crazy tune that needs a guitar part. Here it is... ;D
It's quite crazy and not so serious so ;) ... if you got any ideas I will be glad to hear.
Michel
wow-the is friggin' busy-i feel a funk guitar coming on
Nice work-great chops
Damn, there are times when it almost sounds like an old Alembic bass. Perhaps I'll give a run at it this weekend.

Cool slap & pop technique, it kinda reminds me of Bill Evans funk grooves from Bass Jams.
The day started fine. I was enthused. I pulled out my Strat, dialed in a super clean tone, got some compression going, and then repeatedly butchered your tune. Ugh.
Each time I put something funky down, it made the whole piece just way too busy. I kept simplifying until there was nothing left. I settled for a subtle arpeggiator and some wanky, distorted solos.
Perhaps somebody with more soul than myself would care to take a stab at a vocal.
Peace.
Blooby
:) I really like the heavy solo's . The arpergio is also a nice touch.
I'm curious how yur funky guitar piece would have sounded.
Great ;D

Bad...and not in a funky
bad way.

Great stuff!
This is really sounding good ;D
You're one hell of a bass player. Serious hard funk! Great tone too.

Thanks for the kind words, it's makes me shy :)
I'm just practising some noodles and licks and record it as good and bad as I can. :o
Good playing like that doesn't need any dressing up with sophisticated recording techniques...
Dude, you've got a brazilian fan! Definitely. Is your bass a Squier by Fender JB isn't? Really nice sound!

Thanks ;D ... The bass you hear is a (nearly) stock squier vintage modified jazzbass. I only modified the pots and the capacitor from the tone control. Recorded direct into the Mb-r. No tricks :)
Michel
OTD Bump,
What a player,
Brilliant....
Alex.

Funky pop-n-slap. Great tone.
It's nice to hear music from early days of Songcrafters.
Really good funky bass playing! I liked Blooby's addition as well!
