Haven't done not much in 'the studio' in the past weeks... have been having to give attention to other matters.    :(    But here is an dusty tune from the Hooper archives...

Performed and produced in December 2002, this version of Lovely Rita appeared on Volume 9 of the Subterranean Recordings which was a compilation CD of Beatle covers by members of the RecordingWebsite.com.   All parts played and sung by Hooper.  Recorded and mixed in Sonar 1 and remastered this morning on the Micro-BR.

Near the end there is a brief cameo appearance by one of the original performers from Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band!

Thanks for listening and hope you enjoy.   :)

I was waiting for a Beatles offering from you!

As soon as I saw that you'd posted one, I knew that it was going to be brilliant. But it's actually even better than that! It's an immaculately performed and produced cover. I couldn't find a fault even if I tried. Easily as enjoyable as the original, and somehow fresher than the original in my opinion. Yet again, you've given us a professional mixing masterclass. This one raises the bar too high! I think it just pips your Strawberry Fields cover. Only just, lol. What one are you doing next?! Would love to hear what you'd do with 'Day in the Life'...

My goodness... this really is the business.

A truely remarkable performance and production !!

I'm with Tim. I know when I see a new Hooper post, we're in for a treat. I go through a plethora of emotions while listening to your music, Topping the list are envy and embarrassment for my own productions.

This is superb in every way.

I'm still amazed... :)

I have to ask a couple of questions about this hooper, if you don't mind:

1. What is that instrument that appears after "...nothing can come between us"? It also appears later - sounds like a bowed instrument?

2. Are there real drums on this? That cymbal/high-hat sounds great!!

Loved the backwards stuff too. Loved it all!!
