Editing my finished MP3

I recently finished my first project with my mate on the BR , and found that it was 1 MB to big to upload ,  the problem is its five verses long ( John Barlycorn ) 1 - how do i edit it down to 5 MB without spoiling the whole feel of the song , 2 - what program do i use to edit it with

I use these 2 free programs...This is the simplest and it shows when you right click a sound file 8)

Instead of cutting off a part of it you can try converting it to a lower bitrate. If the sound is acceptable post that. Or if you have another place on the web to put it you can put a link to it in your post.

Yeah thanks----both replies sound good iv'e downloaded the editing program and i'm looking to convert to a lower bitrate if the quality of the song is ok.
