Ive got GAS again what's yours advice

I have GAS for this little beauty http://www.richtonemusic.co.uk/products/epiphone_hummingbird_acoustic_electric.asp?gclid=CMqW_Ky4jcACFc3HtAod7ygAaQ which I think is good for the price but do any of you out there have any advice on other makes or models to look out for around the same price as my old acoustic has seen better days and I believe it's time to replace as the action is a tad too high for me ..of course I will try before I buy but I wanted to know what makes to look out for .....thanks in advance for any advice

I've tested quite a few guitars in that price area, and one that really surprised me was the Yamaha APX500. I didn't buy it ... I ended up in another price range, but still remember this as one that stood out.

I just bought the Dove which is essentially the same guitar, I'm really happy with it and a professional set up will make it even better. Try a few tho as the build quality does vary. The bridge saddles tend to be cut high so a set up is worthwhile, but I think this is normal with cheaper end stuff. Lovely looking guitars tho!

I tried an Epiphone Hummingbird a few years ago - really nice quality for the money, and it played great with low action and decent projection. It was similar to my Guild D-25 as far as action, but with a slightly wider neck that I may have liked just a bit more than the Guild's neck.

I almost bought it, but I really wasn't in the market for another acoustic and talked myself out of it.
