BR 800 AB punch repeats?

A few times now I have auto punched in a few bars with AB punch (setting the times in and out) and when I play it back it repeats the punch over and over onto the track.
This screws up the balance of the track of course.
I have seen it almost double the length of a track recording.
What am i doing wrong?

Sounds like you might have set it for Loop Recording by pressing the track REC button too many times. See page 41 and the chart at the top-right of page 38. Loop recording copies the newly-recorded part of the track about 200 times.

And don't forget that you can UNDO the last operation if you accidently wipe out the rest of your track like that. See page 48.

If you're not accidentally loop recording (blinking track REC button), then it's possible that you've found a bug. If that's the case, you might want to talk to Roland tech support.

Lol..That would be it. It sure messes things up.
I have become familiar with undo as a result.
These touch sensitive pads take some getting used to.
