Digital Village (www.dv247.com) in the UK, where I got both my BRs from, is "not currently in stock, call DV for info" and £TBA at the moment.

Perhaps "£9,999.00" is the Dawsons database's equivalent of "£TBA"

I imagine DV will be around the £199 mark, possibly a note or two lower - they usually seem to manage a competitive price.

I take that back. Dawsons has updated their page and lowered the price to £199.00. That's quite a drop from £9,999.00!

with the Canadian dollar worth almost $0.05 more than the american, i'll most likely be ordering from musician's friend.

Found another store in Holland that already lists it: http://www.peterverspuy.nl/portable-handheld-recorders/boss/br80-br-80-digitale-recorder-8-sporen-22010.html also 239 euro. Even though price fixing is forbidden in EU, the dealers are "discouraged" by Roland's goodfella's to go below recommended discount price.

Well this is new. A Canadian retailer advertising a price for a Roland product online. I didn't think they were allowed to do that. Could it be that Roland Canada has finally seen the error of their ways?
